 Ios is located only 22 nautical miles north to Santorini and is a fantastic destination for a full-day escape .Long coastline with gold sand beaches, private bays with crystal clear waters can be found all around the island. It is believed that Homer's Tomb is there and also that his mother was from Ios. Information The tour starts in the morning from Vlihada port and, depending on the type of vessel (motor/sailing catamaran, sailing yacht or motor speed boat), we reach Ios in 45'-90' minutes. First stop is at Manganari beach; awarded with Blue Flag for its extraordinary water quality and services offered, this is one of nicest beaches in Ios, where you can swim and enjoy a lunch in the picturesque tavernas. Manganari is also well-known for being the scenery of some shots of famous “Deep Blue” movie. To continue with, we visit more beaches, such as Tris Klissies, Psathi, Papa and Plakes. Finally, we sail to Ios port, which is the main harbour of Ios and is the port both for the large vessels and the small fishing boats. You have free time for lunch/coffee and shopping around the area. We return to Santorini approximately in 19:00 - 20:00, so that we will enjoy the sunset in our way back...
